18 Aug Shifting into The Miracle Zone
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” ― Albert Einstein
How often do you experience miracles in your daily life? Once in a great while? Once a month? A week? Daily?
Do you see the miracles that appear before you, moment by moment?
Or, like many of us, are you programmed to live in “stress mode” and see your life as a series of seemingly never ending struggles and challenges?
If you truly want to live your life with passion and purpose, it’s time to shift your focus and be willing to get out of “stress mode” and start living your life as though EVERYTHING is a MIRACLE.
Perhaps this seems like a daunting task if you have been living in “stress mode” most of your life, however there are simple steps that you can take to begin reprogramming your brain and shifting your energy and your focus.
In truth, miracles are happening in each and every moment of our day. Big ones and little ones. Help arrives when you are in need. A friend calls when you are feeling lost and alone. A new flower blooms. Someone offers a smile or tells a joke that brightens your day. Someone posts a quote online that was ‘just what you needed’. Your loved one’s cancer goes into remission. You get caught behind someone driving too slowly only to realize that, had you not, you may have been the one in the accident that occurred up ahead. You breathe. Life continues its miraculous dance. I could go on … what are the miracles that you have seen today?
Here are a few simple steps that you can take to shift into The Miracle Zone:
- Take notice of the positive things happening around you. Shift your focus from the negative and start actively searching for positive, happy, and miraculous gifts each day. Seek out the beautiful, the loving, the soothing, the happy, and the good. Take the time … really take it in and notice it. Talk about it, share it, and experience it. Taking the time to take it in and experience it will rewire your brain for positive experiences.
- Practice gratitude. Keep a gratitude journal daily and write down at least 5 things that you are grateful for each day. As you do this, be sure to fully get into the experience and feeling of gratitude. At the end of the year, that’s almost 2,000 small miracles!
- Share your positive and miraculous experiences with people around you. Let the wondrous experience of your life be a contagion of joy for all around you. Tell people about the beautiful, wonderful, miraculous experiences that you have each day. Allow them to share in your joy, to feel and see the wonder of life through your experience and, through your sharing, will begin to see more miraculous moments in their own life.
Get yourself a Miracle Book – perhaps a small notebook that you can carry with you – and start writing down the miracles you experience each day. You can also use it to write your daily gratitude notes each night before bedtime. As you capture these daily miracles and moments of gratitude, begin sharing at least one miracle a day on social media for the next two weeks.
