09 Jul Think Twice Before Standing Up for Yourself
– When to stand up and when to step back –
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve heard me talk about positive vs. negative energies. Love vs. fear. Right vs. wrong. Good vs. evil. Our spiritual self vs. our ego self.
Today, we’re talking about thinking twice before we stand up for ourselves, and here’s what I mean. In standing up for ourselves, which polarity are we leaning toward? The positive energies that help us to reach and expand? Or the fear energies that encourage the negativity of Ego that keep us stuck?
Through discernment and choice, we can make a decision as to what serves ourselves and others in the best way possible. Are we serving our Higher Infinite Self, or are we serving our Lower Self (Ego)? This is why stepping back is sometimes a better choice than stepping up. When we take on the perspective our Infinite Self, we’re encouraged to hold love, patience, and compassion for ourselves and others.
If there’s an opportunity for growth within our situation, we’ll FEEL an emotional charge. It won’t be neutral. This is where we’re invited to uncover the hidden message that’s inviting us to grow into more of who we are.
Are there times when it’s better to stand up than to step back? Of course! The trick is in our own discernment, and what will empower both parties to grow and expand in compassion.
If you’ve ever wondered when to stand up for yourself, and when to take a step back with a greater spiritual perspective of our situation, then this week’s podcast is for you!
This episode is for you if you wonder …
- How to find your strength and courage (even in the most challenging situations)
- What will work best for YOU … what will make you feel the most empowered, without hurting anyone around you
- How to know whether your serving your highest and best self, or whether you’re inadvertently calling in Ego to do the dirty work instead of finding the best possible outcomes
These are spiritual lessons with a practical edge. You can also listen in for the short exercise that’s designed to help you implement this week’s topic.
If you’re someone who has the audacity … the willingness to take bold risks … then you can use the powers of alchemy to transform challenges into positive new successes starting today!
